It is a purpose-built port rather than a place to spend time: a passenger terminal, parking, taxi rank and bus stop.
For a visitor the useful facts are the distances. The Old Town is about four kilometres north west, ten minutes by taxi or a little longer on the city bus that meets arrivals, and Zadar Airport is roughly fifteen kilometres inland at Zemunik. Car rental collections are generally made at the airport or in the city rather than at the terminal, so anyone driving off a ferry should check where their vehicle is actually held.
