The Benedictine nuns of St Mary have been on this site beside the forum since 1066, when the convent was founded by Cika, a noblewoman of the city; its Romanesq…The Benedictine nuns of St Mary have been on this site beside the forum since 1066, when the convent was founded by Cika, a noblewoman of the city; its Romanesque bell tower was raised in 1105 by the Hungarian-Croatian king Koloman. The convent still houses the order.
