Museums and Galleries
The museums here sit within a few minutes of the forum and divide the same history between them. The Archaeological Museum holds what has come out of the ground across the county, running from prehistory through the Liburnian and Roman city to the early medieval town, and it also administers St Donatus across the square. The Museum of Ancient Glass takes a single material and one of the larger Roman glass collections in Europe, and puts glassblowers to work in the building so the technique is demonstrated rather than described.
Two more sit at either end of the register. The Museum of Illusions is the family stop, with rotated rooms and holograms, and works as an hour out of the rain when the bura blows. Twenty five minutes north west, the salt works at Nin runs tours of pans that are still harvested by hand, with a salt house museum and a shop at the end of it.
