The collection runs from prehistoric finds through the Liburnian and Roman periods to the early medieval city, which is the sequence the peninsula itself records in stone.

It also administers the church of St Donatus across the square, so the ticket desk here is the place to ask about the round church. Information is published in Croatian and English.
