Zadar Airport transfers

Zadar Airport is roughly nine kilometres from the centre, so the transfer is short but the options differ more than the distance suggests. A shuttle bus meets arriving flights and runs to the bus station and the waterfront, which is the cheapest way in and takes a little over twenty minutes. Taxis wait outside arrivals and reach the peninsula in about the same time. Pre-booked private transfers are the third route and the one that makes sense with luggage, children, an early departure or a group, because the driver waits regardless of how late the flight lands.

The case for booking ahead grows with distance. Transfers to Nin, Petrcane, Zaton and Sukosan are common, and so are longer runs to Biograd, Sibenik and the Plitvice hotels, none of which the shuttle covers. Late arrivals are the other reason: the Ryanair schedule puts several flights into Zemunik after eleven at night, when the bus has stopped and the taxi rank thins out. Confirm whether the quoted fare is per vehicle or per person, and say up front if you need child seats, which have to be requested rather than assumed.
