Zadar Parking
Where to Park in Zadar
The peninsula is pedestrian, so every visit by car ends in a car park on the mainland side and a walk across. The closest lots are along the harbour quay at the foot of the footbridge, which fill by mid morning through July and August and are charged by zone. A covered garage set slightly further back solves the August heat and the rare wet day, and takes cars for a full day without cooking the interior.
The southern approach towards Kolovare serves the beach and the Land Gate, which suits a day combining a swim with the Old Town. Zones are run by the municipal parking operator, and payment can be made by phone rather than at a machine, which saves hunting for coins. Arriving before ten in high season is the difference between a space and a slow circuit of the block. Hotels out at Borik and Puntamika mostly park their own guests.
