Zadar Taxis

Zadar's taxi market changed when the ride-hailing apps arrived, and most visitors now use a phone rather than a rank. App fares are quoted before the journey, which removes the argument, and coverage is good across the city, the airport and the coastal suburbs at Borik and Diklo. Traditional taxis still hold the ranks by the Land Gate, at the bus station and at the Gazenica ferry terminal, and they remain the reliable option when a ferry lands at an awkward hour or an app shows no cars.

Distances inside the city are short, so fares are modest: the peninsula to Borik is a few kilometres, and Gazenica to the Old Town about four. The airport run is the long one at roughly nine kilometres and is often quoted as a fixed price rather than metered. Ask for the fare before setting off if the meter is not running, and note that a large suitcase or a fourth passenger can change the vehicle class and the price with it.
