Stalls sell fruit and vegetables from the Ravni Kotari fields inland, olive oil, honey, herbs, dried figs, sheep cheese from Pag and homemade rakija, mostly from the people who grew or made them.

The covered fish hall alongside runs on its own clock and finishes when the catch is gone. Cash is easier than a card at most stalls, prices are per kilo and rarely negotiable, and mornings are the whole of it. A stay in a self-catering flat is transformed by one visit.
