Practical Services in Zadar
The everyday things a trip needs: travel agencies that sell and rebook the excursions, and laundries that handle a mid-stay wash for apartment guests.
A short list on purpose. This is a visitor directory, so the services here are the ones a trip actually runs into rather than the full local economy. Travel agencies are the first of them, and in Zadar they do more than sell tours: the offices on the Riva and around the peninsula book the Kornati and Plitvice trips, hold the tickets for the island catamarans, arrange airport transfers and private drivers, and are the practical place to sort out a change of plan when the bura shuts the boats down for a day.
The second is laundry. A large share of Zadar's beds are apartments, many of them without a washing machine, and a fortnight on the coast generates more washing than a suitcase holds. Self-service and service-wash laundries operate near the centre and in the districts behind it, most turning a service wash around the same day in season. Both categories keep longer hours in summer than in winter and both are worth locating on arrival rather than on the day you need them.
